Do you enjoy writing? Do you want to start building your resume? Are you planning on attending events on campus? If so, the Campus Chronicle might be the right organization for you.

Writing for the Campus Chronicle lets you gain experience in writing articles in a journalistic setting and learn how a newspaper is created.

Writers get to see their names in print every two weeks, and some professors offer students extra credit for writing articles in the paper.

There are weekly meetings every Tuesday at 5:30 p.m. in Cottrell Hall to assign stories and troubleshoot layouts. Writers are free to come up with their own story ideas to be featured in the newspaper. All ideas and stories are welcomed.

The newspaper covers a wide variety of articles, including movie reviews, opinion articles and reporting about news on campus.

Positions within the Campus Chronicle provide on-campus opportunities such as editing, making advertisements or taking photos for the newspaper. This also provides professional, hands-on experience that will prepare students for careers after college.

The Campus Chronicle is a way to meet new people outside of class and work in a professional team. Experience needed includes knowledge of spelling, grammar and news writing.
